Timeline of the Pascoag Utility District Water Department AMR Project

  • Special Meeting was held at the District office on August 26, 2009. Pascoag water customers unanimously approved the Water AMR Project.
  • Pascoag Utility District applied for a STAG Grant on October 21, 2009 in the amount of $218,000.
  • The bond signing took place on November 5, 2009.
  • On November 13, 2009 Pascoag Utility District opened the sealed bids from the Meter request for proposals.
  • In December 2009 RFP awarded to Master Meter (AMR-Drive By Water Metering System).
  • December 2009 District receives notice of award for the EPA Grant in the amount of $218,000.00.
  • Water meters were delivered April 2010.
  • Pre-pilot water meter installation project begun mid-April 2010.
  • District requested first reimbursement from RI Clean Water Finance Agency.
  • Notification letters have been sent to all remaning customers for meter installation appointments.
  • Pascoag Utility District received $109,000 from the EPA Grant in the fall of 2010. At that time there was $108,000 leftin the grant to complete the project.
  • As of September 30, 2011, Routes 1-6 have had new water meters installed.
  • The Pascoag Utility District Water Department has completed 70% of the new water meter installations as of September 30, 2011!
